Faust Neria Cruz

Our beloved husband and father, Faust Neria Cruz, 64, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 8, 2021. Faust was born in Roswell, NM on September 19, 1956. He was the second of six children. He graduated from Roswell High School in 1975. He was a member of the Navy ROTC and the New Mexico National Guard. Faust married the love of his life, Julia Foster, on February 13, 1976, and their family grew to include eight children and six grandchildren. Faust worked as a television repair technician for 35 years, and operated his own business. He loved being with his family and pets, traveling, planting a garden, and providing for his family. His faith, strong will, and courage brought him through many trials with his health. He will always be remembered for being a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His eldest daughter, Anna, will remember her father's enduring love for his wife, children and his grandchildren. He was incredibly generous and loved to make his grandchildren smile. He will be missed always, but I know he is in God's welcoming arms. His sons, Robert and Christopher, will reunite with their father. They will walk with him to Heaven's gate. They will embrace and will be together forever in God's love. His son, Jonathan, will remember that his father always believed in him and wanted the best for him. He will be forever missed by his family. His daughter, Kristina, will always remember her father for encouraging her to be brave, strive for more in life, always making sacrifices as a devoted father and most importantly showing her the gift of getting close to our Father God. His daughter Angel, will remember her father for all his unique and funny traits and love for his family. He would do anything to make sure we were happy and always encouraged us to be strong. His daughter, Julie, will remember her father's encouraging talks to believe in herself and encouraging his grandchildren to follow their dreams. His youngest daughter, Elizabeth Cruz, will always remember her father for his contagious smile and laughter, selfless heart, and devotion to his family. His granddaughter Lauren, will remember her grandfather for always encouraging her to follow her heart, to be strong and have faith. Your love will light our way. Your memory will forever be with us. Faust is preceded in death by his father Albert Cruz, brother Albert Cruz Jr., sons Christopher Foster Cruz and Faust Robert Cruz. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of forty-five years, Julia Marie Cruz; son Jonathan David Cruz, and daughters: Anna Marie Flores, Kristina Renee Blackmon, Angel Jonell Cruz, Julie Caroline Monarez and Elizabeth Cruz. Grandchildren: Lauren Ashley Flores, Genevieve Mia Monarez, Alexia Isabel Magallanes, Lucius Aden Monarez, Moses Cassius Monarez, and Faith Brooke Flores. Faust will also be remembered by his mother, Helen Cruz, and sisters who reside in Roswell, New Mexico: Carmen (Tim) Young, Helen Cruz, Mary Lou Welch, and Pauline Cruz; and brother-in-law, Howard Foster of Reno, NV. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM with Prayer Service at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Homes- East, 750 N. Carolina.
