Ezequiel Ramirez Salas

Ezequiel Ramirez Salas, 81, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2017. Ezequiel was born April 10, 1936, in Mexico to Cipriano and Francisca Salas. In 1959, he married the love of his life, Genoveva. He was a member of the choir at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Arlington, TX. Ezequiel’s passion was music. He was a composer, music teacher, voice instructor and recorded eleven CDs. He was employed for 30 years as a laborer with the Southern Pacific Railroad. Ezequiel was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 55 years Genoveva and daughter Lucia Salas. He leaves behind his children; Maria Tavizon, Gloria Llamas, Ezequiel Salas Jr., Fernando Salas, Tomas Salas, Frances Salas, Eva Patricia Schoenberger, and Jose Salas; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 21st from 6p-9p with a Rosary at 7pm at Sunset Funeral Home located at 4631 Hondo Pass. A Funeral Mass will be said on Saturday, July 22nd at 11am at Our Lady Guadalupe Catholic Church located at 2709 Alabama St. Cremation will follow and his Burial will be held at a later date.
