Evelyne Rose Montalbano passed on to a better place on December 4, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer. Family and friends surrounded her bedside as she was called upon by our Lord, for he has picked a perfect rose for his garden up above. Evelyne was born in Goeppingen, Germany in 1960. She was a beautiful devoted mother of 2. A devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was loving, caring, a joy to be around, simply put amazing. Her greatest joy was found in her children. They were her heart and soul. Preceded in death by her brother, Armin, and brother-in-law, Jeremy. Evelyne is survived by her family of 2 children. Dillon (age 14) and Alyssa (age 11) and her loving husband of 19 years, Anthony Montalbano. She is also survived by her parents, Gianni and Lisa LaBarbera, her sisters: Ursula, Annette and Manuela; brothers: Bernard, William, Salvatore, Enrico (Casey), and Ryan (Monica); nieces: Jennifer, Tatyanna, Danielle, Savannah, and Jennifer; nephews: Nicholas, Mikhal, Malakhi, and Jacob, Benny (Wannel) Montalbano, Denise (Michael), Nichole (Ralph), Brandon, Allie, and Ian, and Makayla May-Kuk; Nash and Winnie, and special friend, Lisa. The family wishes to thank Father Louis Acevedo for giving her, her last rites and the entire Mervyns family at Bassett. Evelyne’s memory will live on in our hearts for eternity. He gives strength to those who are tired and more power to those who are weak. The people who trust the Lord will become strong again. They will rise up as an eagle in the sky; they will run and not need rest; they will walk and not become tired. Isaiah 40:49-31
