Evelina J. Jones

Evelina J. Jones, 87, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012 in El Paso, Texas. She was born September 23, 1924 in Port Arthur, Texas to R.M. Johnson and Marie Zimmerman Esch Johnson. Evelina retired from White Sands Missile Range in 1985 after 28 years of service. She was also a longtime "Toast Mistress" and was active in helping to bring Concordia Cemetery to the beautiful condition it is in today. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur D. Jones, of 50 years. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Phillips; son-in-law Bruce Phillips; grandsons: Brian Phillips and Robert Phillips; and great grandchildren, Abigail and Isabella Phillips and another grandson to continue her legacy due in July. Services and Interment are Private.
