Evangelina passed away on August 29, 2023 at 90 years of age. Evangelina is survived by her three girls, Bertha M. Fresquez, wife of Albert; Sylvia A. Paz and Elizabeth G. Fuentes, wife of Alberto Fuentes, and 6 grandchildren, Melissa Stewart, Rene Fresquez, Monique Nadolny, Nicole Fresquez, Katherine, and Albert Santos Fuentes; and Josh Lawyer who loved her as grandma. Eva was also blessed with 6 great grandchildren.
Eva was born and grew up in El Paso, Texas, graduating from Bowie High School, working at El Paso Telephone Company, and retiring from the City of El Paso Public Health Department where she worked in the WIC program. Eva had many interests such as antique shopping, traveling, playing games, and going to the casinos, especially Las Vegas. Her faith was strong, and she was a very generous person who loved her family. Her girls are very proud of Eva’s strength, integrity and love and she will be missed.
Visitation will be from 9:00am to 12:30pm with a Rosary at 10:30am on Friday, September 8, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Drive. Funeral Mass will follow at 1:00 PM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 9025 Diana. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
