Evangelina C. Perez

Evangelina C. Perez, 83, passed away peacefully as she was called home to the kingdom of God on Friday, February 4, 2022. Evangelina (Eva) was born in El Paso, Texas on September 20, 1938. She graduated from Bowie High School, class of 1957, with academic honors. She attended the University of Texas at El Paso where she earned her real estate credentials. She had a strong work ethic her entire life. She worked retail, worked for the public schools, El Paso Community College, and real estate. Eva was driven by the love she had for family, her simplicity, and her faith. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed time with family and with friends. Her life revolved around her family and enjoyed helping raise her grandchildren. Faith, Love, and Hope, 1 Corinthians 13:13 was what Eva truly lived. She is preceded in death by her parents, Melesio R. Casas and Maria De Los Angeles Olivas Casas, by two of her brothers, Ruben Casas and Mel Casas, her dear husband, Armando Carlos Perez, and her son in law, Anthony J. Fraga. She is survived by her siblings Connie Pickerign, Gloria Lujan, Raquel Casas, Carlos Casas, Miguel Angel Casas (Sukie), and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She also leaves behind her daughter, Raquel Perez Fraga and her two grandchildren, Anthony J. Fraga II and Ava Marie Fraga. She leaves behind many dear and close friends. A special thank you to her dear friend Anna Hoffman who accompanied her for many hours in the hospital and at home through her medical journey. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, with a Rosary at 6:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina. A funeral mass will be held at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Sacred Heart Church, 602 S. Oregon. Interment will follow at 2:00 pm at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
