Eva Mae Thrower

On July 27, 1908 Robert and Mattie Crayton welcomed a daughter into their family, Eva Mae. in Leary, GA. She married Charlie G. Thrower in 1925 in Leary, GA. To this union 2 daughters were born, Frankie and Susie. The Thrower family moved to Florida in the late 1930’s and settled in Orlando. At an early age, Eva became a member of the Church of God in Christ. She moved to Roswell, NM in 1956. She was a member of the Apostolic House of Prayer and mother of the church, Elder Norfor King, Pastor. Her memory will forever be cherished by her daughter, Mrs. Susie McDowell (Richard); sister, Mrs. Leatha Crayton Dean of Washington, D.C.; nephew, Eddie Jackson of Orlando, FL; grandchildren: Cecil Thrower of Dallas, TX; Betty Bailey of Houston, TX; Freddie Stevens of Atlanta, GA; Jacqueline Baines of Riverside, CA; Donnie Stevens of Los Angeles, CA; Tommie Stevens of Atlanta, GA; Sam Thomas, Jr. of Albuquerque, NM; numerous great, great-great and great--great-great grand children; numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, 6 sisters, 5 brothers, her husband, Charlie G. Thrower, and daughter, Frankie Thomas. Visitation from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 29, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Homes - Northeast. Funeral Service at 11:00 am on Monday, July 30, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Homes - Northeast.
