December 28, 1919 — June 23, 2012

Eutiquio J. Sanchez “Tikio” 92, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Smeltertown, Texas on December 28, 1919. Greeting him in heaven were his beloved wife Kika, daughter Bertha Alicia, parents Ysidro and Angela Sanchez, siblings Angela, Jesus, Socorro, and Josefina. Left to cherish his memory are his children: Marta Marquez (Victor Jr.), Eutiquio Jr. (Matty), Jose Angel (Dora), Ernesto Sr. (Dora Luz), Raul (Denise) and Roberto Manuel (Liz); 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ricardo, Jose, Ysidro Sanchez, Cruz Pena, Petra Espalin and Maria Estrada. He also leaves behind many nephews, nieces, god-children and friends. He played a major role in the early planning and construction of St. Jude Parish and Hall. Tikio was a life member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. Visitation will be held from 5:00-6:00 pm, Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home-West with a Vigil at 7:00-8:00 pm at St. Jude Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at St. Jude Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Victor Marquez III, Eutiquio III, Adam Lee, Joseph, Ernesto Jr., Raul Joseph, and Roberto Miguel Sanchez. Honorary Pallbearers will be all great-grandsons.
