Eusebio Medina

September 17, 1928 — November 15, 2011

SSG.(RET) Eusebio Medina passed away November 15, 2011, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born September 17, 1928 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. He retired from the Army after 23 years of service, having served in Korea and Vietnam. We will truly miss his sense of humor, generosity and his wonderful stories of his army life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lydia Medina and grandson, Lee Edward Turner. Left to cherish his beautiful memory are his daughters, Ari Medina-Muela and Myrna Allen; sons-in-law, Jose Muela and George Allen; grandchildren: Damaris Turner, Jeremiah and Joshua Allen, Clarissa and Brian Bythway; great grandchildren: Jezarai and Jemma Allen, Lace and Joselyn Bythway; brother Alvin and wife Carmine Rodriquez; sister Vina Duperoy; and his beloved 101 yr. old mother, Maria Medina. We would like to thank his wonderful caretakers Gina, Israel and La Mariposa Hospice for their caring and compassion. Visitation will be held from 5-9 pm with a Vigil/Rosary to begin at 7 pm Thursday, November 17, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Funeral Services will begin at 9 am Friday, November 18, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
