Eulalia Garcia

Eulalia Garcia entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 27, 2020 at the age of 73. Lala, as she was affectionately known, was born in La Union, New Mexico on February 12, 1947 to Maria Luz and Jose Garcia. She graduated from Gadsden High School in 1965 and departed for the state of California to pursue a career. She worked at Occidental Insurance Company and later was hired by the Southern Union Gas Company, where she retired after 43 years of total service. She was a very kind-hearted, generous, and strong woman of faith. Lala enjoyed being of service to all and everyone. Her faith and hope always encouraged us. Her generosity, kindness and love for everyone will remain within our hearts forever. She loved country music, was an avid Cowboys, Dodgers, Lakers fan and enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and Ruidoso casinos. She loved deeply and cherished all of her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was their biggest fan and could always be found cheering them on at all of their events. She was preceded in death by parents Jose and Maria Luz Garcia, sisters Dolores Telles, Ignacia Alvarado, Guadalupe Zeleck, Petra Garcia and brothers, Humberto and Jose Garcia, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Juana and husband Raul Bustamante, brothers Emilio and wife Virginia, and Antonio Garcia, numerous cousins and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. She was deeply loved by many and will be greatly missed. Virtual Services will be held from 9:30am to 11:00am on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at: https://www.facebook.com/sunsetfuneralhome along with a Funeral Mass at 10:00am at St. John Paul II Parish, Santa Teresa, New Mexico. Interment will follow after Funeral Mass at Saint Anthony Catholic Cemetery.
