Eugenio "Gino" Eloy Munguia, 75, a beloved father, husband, brother, uncle, and friend, went to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ, on Friday June 11, 2021. Gino was born in Edinburg, Texas to Rosalio and Maria Munguia. A devoted family man, Gino was always known as the "life of the party," wherever you heard an uproar of laughter, you knew he was in the middle of it. Gino worked tirelessly for over 50 years in the Education field, and touched so many lives positively along the way. Gino was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the Vietnam War, and was a proud patriot. Gino practiced his faith in the Catholic Church by serving as a Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Catechism Teacher, and Translator. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 50 years Petra Munguia, daughters Teresita and Christina, and son Benjamin. Gino is also survived by his brothers Edmundo and Rosalio Munguia, and sisters Elda Zambrano and Emelina Davis. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation scheduled for Monday June 21, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a praying of the Rosary at 6:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home Americas - 9521 N Loop Dr. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday June 22, 2021 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church - 8600 Winchester Rd. - at 12:30 PM followed by a graveside service at Ft.
