Eugenio Gene Garcia

After a hard fought battle Eugenio (Gene) Garcia, formerly from California, passed away January 31, 2013 at home in love and peace. Born and raised in Los Angeles to Florencio and Romelia Garcia, he had lived in El Paso for the last 28 years. He was in commercial credit operations and compliance with Chase Bank prior to his retirement. Earlier he worked for Surety Savings in consumer banking. He is survived by his wife, Terri and his children Heather, Veronica and Joey; his sisters Maria Elena and Liz; his brothers Ernie, Henry, Edmundo, Esteban, Efren, Elias, Elbert and brother-in-law, Fred; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to the care provided by Dr. Jesus Gomez and his staff; and Envision Hospice, especially Jessica, Liz and David. Gene loved his technology toys and his beloved Mazatlan. At his request a private memorial service will be held there by the family at a later date.
