Eugene Curtis Clark, 84, WWII Veteran, T/SGT of Army Air Corps, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2007 in El Paso, Texas. Services were held Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Hondo Pass Road, where he was known as a good and God Loving person. Interment was held at Evergreen Cemetery East. Curtis was born in Rosebud, Falls Co., Texas on March 8, 1923. His parents: James Alvin Clark and Katherine Ann preceded him in death. He will be missed by his loving wife of 61 years, Marjorie; his two loving daughters: Suzette of Tomball, Texas and Andrea Blake of Soquel, California; grandchildren: Gary Loer, Robert Loer, Michael Jeffreys, Melissa Brackenbury, Keven Jeffreys, Emily Oyanguren, Caitlin Blake, and Cara Blake; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He is also survived by two sisters: Mary Gilstrap of Rosebud, Texas and Helen Parrish of Temple, Texas. Curtis and Marjorie met during WWII when he was stationed at Tonapah Army Air Base where he was crew chief over B 29’s, B 24’s, and B 17’s. They married in 1945 shortly after the War was over. His job career carried him between Texas, Nevada, and New Mexico. Coming to El Paso in 1972 he was plant manager for Thunderbird Container Corp. in Clint, Texas. At the age of 71, his working career ended at Bruce Foods, Inc., where he was a superintendent. He was known for his good disposition and kind word for everyone. He will be missed by all of us, as we all loved him so much.
