Esperanza McKinnon

On May 13, 2013, Esperanza McKinnon born March 23, 1948 entered into eternal peace. She loved to cook, play Bunko, and vacation in Vegas. She attended church regularly and enjoyed local bazaars. Most importantly, she loved to spend time with family and friends. She was an inspirational, compassionate, courageous, witty, gracious, and virtuous woman. She touched many people and will be remembered affectionately. Esperanza is survived by her son, Joe Contreras, her siblings, Gloria Cervantes, Victor Hugo, Sonia Prines and Ruben Rodriguez, and additionally by her extended loving family. The viewing will be held at Sunset Funeral Home-East on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 from 4-9 pm with a Vigil at 7 pm. Funeral Mass will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, May 16, 2013 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 10970 Bywood Dr. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
