Esperanza L. Jimenez, born March 3, 1933, in Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico, was taken home suddenly, by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 30, 2021. Esperanza made her living as a sewing machine operator with Union Manufacturing Co. until her retirement in 1995. One of Esperanza’s most favorite hobbies was gardening, and she especially loved planting flowers of all kinds, but lilies were her absolute favorite. Esperanza also loved crocheting, a craft she learned from her mother. There was nothing more important to Esperanza than her family. She tirelessly sacrificed everything for her mother, husband, daughter, grandson and great granddaughter. She loved them all with a passion that could not be measured, compared or equaled. Her brothers and sisters were also an integral part of her life, as the youngest daughter, they all doted on and took extra care of her. She was everyone’s “favorite” aunt. She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, love and her famous “sopitas” and iced tea. Esperanza was preceded in death by her parents, Aniceto and Dorotea Lucero, husband, Guadalupe Brito Jimenez, son in law, Timothy J. Conover, brothers, Mauricio Portillo, Manuel and Frank Lucero. Sisters, Anselma Delgado, Aurora Andress, Isabel Rojo, Luisa Quintana and Ana L. Silva. Esperanza is survived by her daughter, Marie Augusto Conover, grandson, Ryan Cole Augusto, great-granddaughter, Madison Alexandra Augusto, her sisters Amelia Froetschel and Juana L. Ramirez, and numerous nieces and nephews. Marie, Ryan and Madison would like to thank Edna Hernandez, for your excellent care of Esperanza, she very much enjoyed her times with you.
