Ernesto Esparza,

Ernesto Esparza Sr., 75, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Great-Great Grandfather, and Child of God, was taken home to the eternal presence of God on 10 May, 2007. Ernesto was born in El Paso, TX, on August 3, 1931, to parents Estanislado and Aurora Esparza. He proudly served the United States Army during the Korean War. He was employed by Southwestern Sheet Metal and El Paso Stainless Steel for more than 40 years. He also spent many years teaching children and grandchildren how to camp and fish, fix things around the house, garden and landscape, prepare food the way he liked it, watch golf and basketball, let him control the remote, kid around daily, and to follow Christ as Lord and Savior. He was preceded in death by his son, Albert, and his parents. He will be missed by his wife, Magdalena; his 4 children, Bino, (Billie), Carol (Stan), Tommy (Vikki), and Ron (Cindy); his 14 Grandchildren (Deanna, Johnny, Shannon, Wesley, Lindsay, Jimmy, Laura, Aaron, Joshua, Ashley, Adam, Jordan, Krista, and Sammy); his 8 Great Grandchildren (Brittany, Christopher, Robert, Jayden, Hailey, Christopher, Austin, and Athena); his one Great-Great Grandchild (Alex); his 5 brothers (Hector, Rudy, Stanley, Chuy, and Chayo); and his many brothers and sisters at The Church at El Paso. His presence is missed, but his home in heaven is certain, and his past as a hard working, fun loving, and God worshipping man is remembered. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 14, 2007 from 5-9:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Homes- Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass. Funeral Service will begin at 12:45 pm on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at The Church at El Paso, 3720 Buckner. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with military honors.
