Ernest William Brown

Ernest William Brown was born in Oxford, Indiana to James and Goldie Brown on March 28, 1947. He passed away on June 14, 2018 at the age of 71 years. He was a loving and giving husband, father, grandfather and he will be greatly missed. He served in the Army as a medic in his early 20’s and went on to have a long career as an emergency, critical care, and endo registered nurse. He enjoyed his last 10 years of retirement and devoted time to the Food Pantry ministry at Westside Church of Christ. He is survived by his loving wife, Yolanda S. Brown, his beloved children; Ernest William Brown II and his family Christy and Kennedy Grace; Angela Monique Porter and her family Ryan and Topher Van Sol. Visitation will be held Monday, June 18, 2018 from 12:30 – 1pm, with Celebration of Life to follow at 1 pm at Westside Church of Christ, 100 Crestmont, with Pastor Howard Bryan officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery at 2:30 pm, with Military Honors. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home West.
