Ericka Pacheco

We are completely heartbroken. Our beloved Ericka Aragon Pacheco now sings with the choirs of angels in Heaven. Ericka passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021 at the age of 49. Born in El Paso, Texas on February 19, 1972, Ericka later graduated from Southwest High School in San Diego, California. Her pursuit of higher education took her to Irvine, California, El Paso, Texas, and Austin, Texas. Ericka married Tony Pacheco, the love of her life, on February 14, 1998. Together, they raised a son, Anthony, and a daughter, Brianna, who was seven years old when they first met. Ericka’s pride and joy stemmed from her loving family along with their three fur-babies, all of whom will miss her presence dearly. While Ericka worked briefly as a Pharmacy Technician, her true passion was music. She shared her beautiful voice with everyone. Ericka sang at nursing homes, belting out old Spanish songs that evoked fond memories. She also sang at many public and private events in El Paso, New Mexico, Austin, and all-over Southwest Texas. Ericka never met a stranger. Each new person she encountered was a lifelong friend in the making. Ericka is preceded in death by her biological father Edmundo Aragon and two sets of grandparents. She is survived by her husband and “rock”, Tony Pacheco, son Anthony Pacheco, and daughter Brianna Pacheco, parents Michael and Nancy Bloyd, brother Dennis Kinderman and his wife Araceli, sisters Evelyn Aragon and Susy Ramsey, best friend Christina Martinez, Aunt Norma Marquez, along with many more aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. All members of her family will always remember the joy she brought to their lives. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM on Monday, October 25, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 AM, Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at St. Marks Catholic Church, 11700 Pebble Hills. Interment to follow at 1:00 PM at Evergreen Cemetery East.
