Enrique Sanchez, 80, joined our Eternal Father and Blessed Mother Mary in Heaven on February 3, 2007. He was born and raised in Anthony, New Mexico to Dolores and Ramon Sanchez. He was a farmer, longtime resident of El Paso, and member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He proudly served in the U.S. Army with the European Theater of Operation during WWII and received the Purple Heart Medal for Military Merit. After his Military Career, he retired from Civil Service WSMR, NM. He was preceded in death by his wife, Magdalena; parents, Dolores and Ramon Sanchez; brothers, Teodoro and Rosendo Sanchez; sisters, Nena Jacques, Eloisa Sanchez, Andrea Espinosa, and Ysela Ruz. He is survived by: daughter, Lupe (Paul) Driscoll; grandsons, Brandon and Garrett Driscoll of Houston, TX; brothers, Jaime (Graciela) Sanchez of El Paso, TX, Abel Sanchez of Chaparral, NM, Ray (Susie) Sanchez and Larry Sanchez of Anthony, NM; sisters, Bertha (Richard) Calabrese of Las Vegas, NV, Julia Hatsell of Albuquerque, NM; and numerous nephews and nieces. Family members will serve as Pallbearers and Honorary pallbearers. Many thanks to the lovable staff at Mountain View Health Care Center where he spent the last year of his life. Visitation will be held from 4-9 pm with a vigil to begin at 7:00 pm, Thursday, February 8, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast. Funeral Mass will begin at 9:30 am, Friday, February 9, 2007 at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Military Honors.
