Emily C. Duffy

Emily C. Duffy passed away on Tuesday morning, February 19, 2008. She was born in Amherst, Massachusetts, on January 2, 1925. Preceded in death by her husband, John Owens Duffy. Emily is survived by her brother, Reverend Preble Cobb of Lynnfield, MA, her children, Thomas Duffy of Carmel, CA, Michael Duffy of Bloomfield Hills, MI and Mary Duffy of El Paso, TX and five grandchildren, Cameron, Tyler, Robin, Alexandra, and Reid. After retiring as a school librarian, she maintained her interest in environmental causes and became a webmaster for several environmental charities. A long time resident of Englewood, Florida, Emily moved to El Paso two years ago to live with her daughter. No formal services are planned. Donations to Sustainable Communities Zeri, NM (scizerinm.org) are requested in lieu of flowers. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes West.
