Emilenan Allen

She was the only child, born to Mae Ingle Porter and Jimmie Porter, 04-16-1929, in Waxahachie, TX. She left us on 04-04-2021, just shy of her 92nd birthday. She grew up in Maypearl, TX. After receiving her degree in Education, from N. TX State Univ., she spent the next 40 years of her life in Carlsbad, NM. Teaching for 29 years, meeting her husband Ted, with whom she was married for 54 years, and raising her family there. She moved to El Paso in 1989, where she re-united with her family, and enjoyed the remainder of her life. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, NEA & NMEA, Delta Kappa Gamma, El Paso Women's Club, Coronado Baptist Church, and Retired Teachers of NM. She is survived by her two sons; Steve (DIL- Carol) and Greg (DIL-Margie), 3 grandchildren, Ted and Tom Allen, Whitney Theriot (H-Joey), her great grandchild Liam, who she recently met, and her granddog Zoey. Emily touched the lives of many, and will be greatly missed. Donations can be made to the Rescue Mission of El Paso, Animal Rescue League of El Paso, or your favorite charity.
