Emeterio D Aguirre, 77, of El Paso, TX, passed away on April 8th after a valiant illness battle.
Emeterio was born on March 3, 1944 in Leon Guanajuato, MX but called El Paso his home for most of his life. He graduated from Bowie High in 1963 and was known by his friends as Sterio. He was passionate about sports during high school and after. He played baseball, basketball and ran track. He was also an avid pool and handball player. Many remember him for his amazing athleticism. He was revered by his friends and competitors. He married the love of his life Olga Castillo on February 9th, 1963 and lived a great life together. He was a supervisor at Farah and Wrangler where he retired from.
Emeterio is proceeded in death by his wife Olga Aguirre, and his parents Jesus and Maria Aguirre. He leaves behind his two daughters and son; Elizabeth Mendoza (Raul), Olga Enriquez (Frank) and Jesse Aguirre (Irene). Grandchildren; Christopher Mejia (Christina), Ashley Magallanes (Alfredo), Isaac Viera (Maggie), Michael Enriquez, Franky Enriquez, Aaron Aguirre, Chase Aguirre and Syenna Korgel. Great Grandchildren who he enjoyed spending his time with; Jake Rodriguez, Marley Magallanes, Phoenix Magallanes, Christmas Mejia, Christopher Mejia Jr and Olivia Viera. His sisters Maria De Jesus, Guadalupe, Julie, Concha and Isabelle.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM on Monday, April 19, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Homes-East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Our Lady of Sorrows. Burial will follow at 11:30 AM at Evergreen East Cemetery.
