Elvira "Billie" Castaneda

Elvira (Billie) Castaneda, 90, peacefully entered the Kingdom of God on Sunday, January 24, 2021. Our beloved mother, grandma and great-grandma was a lifelong resident of El Paso, TX. She was a graduate of Ysleta High School and retired from the Texas Department of Human Services. Her most precious achievement was her family. Left to miss her love, wisdom, and laughter are her 2 daughters, Nancy Luna (Ruben) and Judy Castaneda (Antonio), her 5 grandchildren, Erin Baker (James) Stephen Luna (Melissa), Andrew Baker, Jason Luna (Alyssa and Adelynn) and Allison Luna, and her 4 great-children, Kiera Guerra, Kaylee Guerra, Zachery Baker and Margaret Baker. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Ysela Ortega and Gloria Sambrano and 2 brothers, Sammy Paredes and Gilbert Paredes. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Javier Castaneda, her parents, Roberto and Dolores Paredes, her brother, Roberto Paredes Jr. and sisters Alicia Ramirez and Ofelia Hernandez. She will always be loved and her memory will live on in our hearts forever. Visitation will be held at 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a Prayer Service at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Homes-East, 750 N. Carolina. Interment at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
