Elva Andrade Bates passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on May 05, 2022. She was born on July 20, 1947, in Chihuahua, Chihuahua Mexico. Elva married her husband (Al) of 45 years in July 1976. Elva worked for the Department of Defense as a Budget Analyst, and retired in 2009 after 30 years of government service at Fort Bliss, Texas. She also spent some time volunteering for the Humane Society Telethon every year, and was a dedicated volunteer for the Old Glory Memorial - El Paso Texas Flags Across America and the Persian Gulf Memorial organizations in support of Military Veterans. Preceding her in death were her father Guadalupe Zapata Andrade, her mother Esperanza Delgado, her sister Elma Yolanda Hertel and her granddaughter Ashley Jenai Bates. She is survived by her husband Delos Allen “Al, brothers Guadalupe and David, sisters Eloise, Bertha and Angie, sons Allen Charles and Delos Allen Jr. (Alma), daughter Tracy Elizabeth Bailey (Richard), her grandchildren Aaron, Jarred, Kaleb, Dominic, Olivia, Makinzie and Xander.

A “Celebration of Life” gathering will be held from 10:45am – 1:30pm at Sun City Christian Center, 4000 Hercules Avenue on June 04, 2022.
