Elois Kendrick

Elois H. Kendrick of El Paso, Texas joined her husband in heaven on Wednesday, November 30, 2011. She was born in Amory, Mississippi on April 8, 1928 and passed away at a local hospital. Elois was the daughter of James and Francis Hawkins of Amory, Mississippi. She is preceded in death by her son Mitchell Kendrick, and by her husband Rawden D. Kendrick with whom she shared 64 years of marriage. They spent most of their married life traveling and visiting relatives and friends both when Rawden was in the military and after retirement. She is survived by her daughter Mona Plaza and her husband Anthony Plaza of Las Cruces, New Mexico, along with numerous nephews and nieces. She was “Nana” to Rebekah and Roman Plaza who will miss her gifts of treats and sweets. Elois enjoyed shopping, watching old movies on television, and reading her Bible daily. Thanks to the circle of friends and staff at Royal Estates, Pastor Mike Woods and the members of Coronado Baptist Church for their kindness and thoughtfulness. Also, thank you to Dr. Muneer Assi and the doctors and staff at Providence Memorial Hospital’s ICU.
