Ella Louise Hurndon

Ella Louise Hurndon was born on February 3, 1933. She departed this earth on May 29, 2017. She was born to the union of Leo Fleming and Carrie E. Traylor in Morris County, Texas. She was one of three children, CW-4 Leo Fleming Ret. of El Paso, Texas, James M. Fleming who is deceased. Ella Hurndon was a childhood member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church of Omaha, Texas. She graduated from Rhoads High School in Dangerfield, Texas in 1950. She married her husband Cw-4 Ret. Monticue Hurndon at the age of 21. To this union three children were born: Monticue, Steven, and Crystal Hurndon. She is preceded in death by her husband and first-born child Monticue. Ella Hurndon was a dedicated wife, a devoted mother and excellent homemaker. She completed professional training for cosmetology after graduating from high school. She enjoyed volunteering which included managing a thrift store and was a member of the Lion’s Club of El Paso. She attended Center Chapel One on Fort Bliss for 40 years and enjoyed volunteering in ministry. Ella was a loving, caring and dependable friend to many throughout her life. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Crystal Hurndon; her son, Steven Hurndon; her brother Cw4 Ret. Leo Fleming, her sister Joyce Melonson; grandchildren, Monticue and Cameron Hurndon; great grandchildren, Mackenzie Hurndon, Camara Hurndon and Jayden Webb and many other extended family members and friends. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm at Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Funeral Service will begin at 9:30am on Friday, June 9, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Committal Service will follow at 11:00am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
