Elizabeth "Betty" Robertson McQuade-Beltran

Elizabeth “Betty” McQuade- Beltran, 76, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2017. She was born in Brooklyn, New York in December 1940 to Howard and Anne Robertson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Anne Robertson, her brother Richard Robertson, and her first husband Walter McQuade. Betty is survived by her husband, Hector L. Beltran, Son, Andrew McQuade, his wife Viridiana, and her three grandchildren, Hannah, Alyssa, and Chloe. Betty grew up in Nutley, New Jersey and graduated from Nutley High School. Betty received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Douglas College in New Brunswick, New Jersey. After College, Betty taught Home Economics to Middle School and High School Students in New Jersey. During that time, she met and married Walter McQuade and they moved to Arlington, Texas. They finally settled in El Paso, Texas in 1988. They enjoyed 32 years of marriage until his passing in 1999. Betty, a worldwide traveler, met her current husband Hector Beltran during a trip to the Seven Easter Capitals of the World in early 2001. Betty and Hector were married later that year and were happily married for over 15 years. Betty was a faithful member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, as well as an active member of Roncalli West. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother as well as a friend to many. Betty will be missed greatly by her family and many friends. Holy Rosary will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 7:00PM at Sunset Funeral Home-West. Requiem Mass will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 2:00PM at St. Matthew Parish.
