Eligio Rangel, 93. The long sunset has now passed, and we now take time to remember your epic journey. You were strong enough to survive Great Depressions, plane crashes, and World Wars. At home, you were active with the Masons, the American Legion, VFW, and, of course, Los Bowie Golden Bears. Your ten children, Lala, Telma, Minnie, Armida, Delia, Hando, Eli, Julie, George, and David, will continue the journey, protecting our family’s posterity, providing a greater dawn ahead for your grandchildren, already too numerous to mention by name, and your great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
We thank you for wisdom shared, for setting an example through your work ethic, and although life may have hardened you too much to know how to show it, for your unending love for your family.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home-East. Funeral Service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home-East Chapel. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
