Eleanor M. Reichert

Eleanor “Ellie” Reichert, 83, of El Paso, was born in College Point, NY, died peacefully on November 20, 2011. Ellie was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Paul; and sons: Paul Jr., and John. She is survived by her sons: Bob (Kathie), Ray (Pat), & Mike (Margaret); daughter, Mary Ellen; 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Ellie was incredibly loving to all. She cherished her upbringing in NY and being surrounded by her loving relatives. She had a big heart and openly shared it with all she came in contact. One of her biggest loves was her lifelong affiliation with our Armed Forces. With Paul she spent many years in Japan and Germany loving every minute making the most of her tours. Her husband (USA Ret) and five sons all served in the Air Force or Marines with Bob and Ray having full careers. Paul retired at Ft. Bliss spending the next 45 years in El Paso. A special thank you to J.R. & Linda Soltero and their family for all their love and support over the years. Visitation will be Monday, December 5, 2011 from 9 to10 a.m. with a Scripture Service to follow at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
