Elbert Mario Hankerson

Elbert Mario Hankerson Jr. 68, Went to the Lord peacefully surrounded by family and friends, who loved him deeply, on March 1, 2012. He will be welcomed into the kingdom of heaven, by his mother Rebecca Harris. Survived by brothers; William, Eugene and Evans, sisters; Eleanor, Mary, Dorothy, sons; Mario and Juan, daughters; Margaret, Rosa, Monica, Maria Luz and Ana, and several grandchildren, God Daughter; Crystal E. Gasca. Friends include his beloved people from Pueblo of Ysleta del Sur and many other close friends. Mr. Hankerson was a remarkable man that touched many hearts and will be missed greatly and will never be forgotten. Family and Friends would like to give a special thanks to The Pueblo of Ysleta Del Sur for all the help and support provided. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Mission on Monday, March 5, 2012. Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday March 6, 2012 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Mission. Interment will follow at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday March 6, 2012 at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
