EILEEN HELEN KOVACH passed away peacefully with family at
her bedside on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the age of 82. She
was a loving dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister and
friend. She was preceded in death by her husband John William
Kovach. She is survived by her sons; Donald G. Kovach (Mary),
John W. Kovach Jr. (Penny), G. David Kovach (Marsha), her
daughter Kathy Kovach (Rick), her brothers; George Miller,
William “Ernie” Miller, her loving grandchildren; Jacklyn
Kovach, Brandon Kovach, Tamara Solis, Kelly Hartman, Levi
Kalal, Amber Kalal and Jesse Kalal.
Eileen worked in the automobile business for 50 years with
Mack Massey Motors as a business manager, executive
secretary and the Corporate Secretary/Treasurer. She was
dedicated to her work and the Massey family. She viewed the
Massey family and all the company employees and colleagues
as a second family.
Eileen enjoyed life and time with her family. She always placed
her children before herself (unless she needed to get a payroll
done!). Her favorite time of the year was with family during
Christmas and was more than generous to her family and
friends. She loved to spend time in casinos playing the slot
machines. She always looked forward to travelling with her
daughter Kathy to their favorite casinos.
Mom had a passion for all sports throughout her life and
especially enjoyed football. She was an ultimate Pittsburgh
Steeler fan and proudly displayed her support wearing her vast
collection of Steeler garments. She especially loved the banter
with her fellow employees that were Cowboy fans.
Eileen was a military wife and in her later years, she
enthusiastically spent time serving at the local VFW with her
friend Francis Griffin. She supported many Military Veteran
organizations with donations.
Eileen was a longtime member of St. Mark’s United Methodist
Church. She made many friends and enjoyed the services and
fellowship of the church’s membership.
The family would like to express our gratitude and appreciation
to all the doctors, nurses and staff at Providence Hospital
University and Transmountain campuses, Monte Vista
Rehabilitation and Nursing Home, and Mountain View Nursing
Home. A special thanks to her friend Francis Griffin and her
caregivers Jonna Tyra and her daughter Shay for their kindness
and care of Eileen over the last several months.
