Efren Herrera

Efren Herrera Hermosillo, devoted father and grandfather passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021 in El Paso TX, his family announced his death. Efren was born on April 13, 1931 to Efren Herrera Orozco and Concepcion Herrera. He lived and worked in Ciudad Juarez most of his life where he held many prominent positions within the Hotel Owners Association, Chamber of Commerce and worked along the fringes of local politics often helping with civic duties and voting initiatives. Married in 1960 to Irene Vasquez DeSmeth and had 3 sons, he retired and moved to El Paso a few years back and enjoyed a quiet life there. Generous and kind hearted with a genuine smile and kind word for everyone he met. He is survived by his sons Efren, Ernesto and Edmundo, 7 grandchildren, 2 great grand children and his brother Jesus Herrera.
