Edwin V. Brown was born in the Republic of Panama on July 19, 1924 and his sunset came on August 6, 2010. Edwin (Pops) Brown came to the United States in 1952 and served in the United States Air Force after his enlistment term was completed he worked as an electrician for Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. While there, he played on the softball and bowling teams for many years. He retired after 20+ years of services. Edwin was an active man who enjoyed various activities such as fishing and shooting pool. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed going to various gun ranges to fire his various guns. He loved music and good times and always had a smile on his face. He was “Dad” to some and “Pop” to most but loved by all of us. He will be missed by friends and family alike. He is survived by his children, Carmen, Victor, Mercedes, Edwin Jr., Michael, Carmelita, Ruppert, Francine, Robert, Roger, Paul, and Lynda. 13+ grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild, 9 nieces and nephews and a host of great nephews and nieces a long with a host of friends and loved ones. Graveside Service will be held at 9:30 am, Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West.
