“Lalo La Lona” Our beloved father Edwardo E. Franco went to be with the Lord on January 8, 2009. He passed peacefully at home with his Loving family at his side. Edwardo E. Franco is a Korean Conflict Veteran and proudly served his country with Co. 21st Inf. Regt., he qualified expert shooter while serving with C. Btry 434 AFAB. Decorations include United Nations Medal, Korean Svc. Medal, with one BZ. Svc. Star and The National Defense Svc. Medal. He retired from Baxter Pharmaceuticals. Dad was a jack-of-all-trades and was willing to lend a helping hand. Lalo was preceded in death by his parents; Amancio and Antonia Franco, 6 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Celia Franco, sons and spouses; Eduardo Franco Jr., Francisco Manuel Franco, John Ruben Franco (Lupe), daughters and spouses; Patricia Ann Carrasco (Orlando), RoseAnna Cordova (Steve), grandchildren; Matthew and Eric Carrasco, Jennifer Gonzales (Pete), Joshua, Steven and Adam Cordova, Jesse Franco, Javier and Kimberly Hernandez, great grandchildren; Isaiah, Julian and Mina Carrasco, Nathan Gonzales and one on the way, brother; Mario E. Franco and numerous nieces and nephews. Our sincere thanks to Dr. Pazmino, Divita Clinic, CCU/ICU nurse care at Sierra Medical Center, and Odyssey Hospice. Visitation will be from 4-9pm on Monday, January 12, 2009 with Vigil at 7pm at Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will be at 12pm Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church at 7424 Mimosa St. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Military Honors.
