Edward Perez passed away on March 28th, 2022 at the age of 63. If you asked 100 people who Edward Perez was, they'd all give you a different story (and maybe a different nickname). He was a cowboy, an agent, an adventurer, an artist, and a storyteller. No matter the occasion, he had a story that would transport you and connect you in a way that few in the world could.
Eddie was a lifelong resident and was born in El Paso, TX on September 29th, 1958 to Arturo Perez and Julie Perez. He grew up with his dear siblings Manny Perez, Lily "Linda" Ramirez, and Patsy Heath. He met his best friend/mother to his children, Connie Castillo, in 1990 and together had Julie Perez, Del Edward Perez, and Diana "Angel" Perez. He was a retired Border Patrol Agent where even more stories and friendships blossomed. He was a woodworker, an amazing father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend.
Just like he dealt with all experiences in life, he managed his illness with strength, grace, and humor. On his final day, he was surrounded by his children, mother, little sister, and Connie. He is survived in death by his children, siblings, mother, son-in-law Gabe McGaugh, Tori Alvarez, Matthew Martinez, Connie & Pedro Castillo, and his cherished nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. with funeral services at 2 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Homes located at 480 N Resler Dr. on April 2nd, 2022.
