Edward P. Hollins

Edward P. Hollins Jr. age 61, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2008 after a long battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward P. Hollins Sr. and his niece, Heather Hollins. He is survived by his mother, Virginia C. Hollins, brother, Dave Hollins (Kathy), nieces, Crystal and Nicole and many close friends. Ed was a veteran of the US Army and served in Vietnam. After leaving the Army Ed received his teaching degree at UTEP and taught at St. Joseph’s Elementary School and 16 years in the EPISD district as a Special Education teacher. Ed loved to spend time with family and enjoyed bowling, golfing and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. Special thanks to Nurse Gloria and staff at Envision Hospice for the loving devoted care you provided to Ed. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast. Graveside Service will be at 2:30 p.m., Friday, December 12, 2008 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home - Northeast.
