Gail Hammock Tadlock, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2007 with her family at her bedside. Gail was born in 1955 and lived most of her life in El Paso. She graduated from Irvin High School in 1973, and from El Paso Community College’s nursing program. Gail was known for her loving attention to family, friends, and patients to whom she dedicated much of her life. She lovingly cared for her husband, Bill Tadlock, during his heart transplant until his death in 1991. She then devoted herself to family life with her daughter, Holly and son, Jason. She often opened her heart and home to become a surrogate mother to other young people. In later years, Gail became the primary caregiver for her parents, Clarice and Earl Hammock, until their respective deaths in 1999 and 2006. Gail enjoyed the beauty of the mountains, especially in the Cloudcroft and Ruidoso areas. She is survived by her daughter, Holly Geyer and son, Jason Tadlock. Grandchildren, Ryan and Megan Geyer. Sisters, Earlene Hunter and Sally Rogers and brother, Curtis Hammock; nieces and nephews -- all of whom will miss her good cheer, bright smile and boundless energy in their lives. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm, Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast. Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
