Edmundo “Mundo” Corral entered God’s Kingdom after a long fight with heart problems on Monday, February 2, 2009. He was born on June 4, 1943 in El Paso, TX, to the late Roman and Santos Corral. Mundo worked many years with the El Paso Times and was a proud Tigua Tribal Elder. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 37 years Mary Ellen; daughters Rachel (Vince); Stephanie (Issac); and Christine (Eddie); sister Rosa Duran; brother Ramon Corral. He leaves a legacy of strength and courage to his grandchildren Serena, Isaac, Ryan, Karissa, Alexis, Alyssia, and Vivian. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 5 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home – Americas. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, February 6 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church (Old Mission) Pallbearers will be Vince Gonzalez, Issac King, Eddie Diaz, Jaime Delgadillo, David Duran, Jaime Corral, Albert Corral, and Daniel Corral.
