Edmundo Castaneda Amaya

Edmundo C. Amaya, 87, was born on September 28, 1930 in Juarez, Mexico to Enrique Amaya and Carmen Duran. He passed away on September 17, 2018 in El Paso, Texas. Edmundo a graduate of Cathedral High School, proudly served in the United States Air Force, graduated from UTEP and retired from the City of El Paso after more than thirty years of service. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Elvia R. Amaya of 59 years; daughter, Patricia Amaya Ellithorp (Gary); son, Edmundo Antonio Amaya (Gabriela); grandchildren; Charles, Felicia, Brianna, Gianna, Aaron and DeAndra and great grandchildren; Jordan, Anthony, Cayleb, Ryder and Chayse. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00pm on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass. Funeral Mass will be said at 1:00pm on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Committal Service will follow at 2:30pm at Mount Carmel Cemetery with Military Honors.
