Eduardo “Eddie” Mejia peacefully passed away on March 22, 2022, from health complications. El Paso was his home for most of his life. He moved to California to pursue his dream of a musical career with his band, Riizer. Eddie later returned to his hometown to be closer to his loved ones and parents.
Eddie’s kindness, humorous wit, love for playing guitar, and sense of empathy are some of the traits that come to mind when thinking of him. He had a heart of gold that affected everyone he met in one way or another.
Eddie lovingly raised his two children, Jasmine and Jagger, with the same selflessness and patience we all know and love. He is also survived by his large and loving family including his grandchildren Kennedy and Jameson, 10 siblings, and his mother, Maria. He is preceded in death by his father, Tiburcio.
Eddie is gone now from his earthly dwelling and has left behind those who mourn his absence. Grant that we may hold his memory dear, never bitter for what we have lost nor in regret for the past, but always in hope of the eternal kingdom where you will bring us together again.
