Eddie Diaz

Eddie Diaz, born August 28, 1953 in Tularosa, NM passed away on May 1, 2011 at the age of 57 in a local El Paso Hospital. He was a resident of Chaparral, NM and devoted member of St. Thomas More Catholic Parish for 14 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Diaz; his brother Ernest Diaz; his mother and father-in-law; Monica and Melisendro Encinas. Eddie is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 31 years, Maria Del Carmen Diaz; his mother, Mary L. Diaz of Alamogordo, NM; brothers: Benny (Rosemary) Diaz; Charles Diaz; Leroy (Rosa) Diaz; Richard (Gloria) Diaz; sisters: Betty (Charlie) Candalaria; Ida Correra; Grace (Victor) Diaz; Patsy (Roger) Barrera; MaryAnn (John) Finch; several nieces and nephews; loving siblings-in-law: Antonio Encinas; Ruben (Bonnie) Encinas; Yolanda (John) Virts; Lucia (Jaime) Valverde; Patricia (James) Krawcion; Maria Teresa (Ernesto) Granillo; Juanita D. (Lloyd) Grubbs. Visitation will be at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast between 5-9 pm, Wednesday, May 4, 2011 with a Vigil/ Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas More Parish on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Desert View Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
