Earnestine Jackson

November 30, 1944 — May 10, 2007

The Lord saw you through cancer three times, he always knew your pain until finally, after the fourth time, you said no more, he sent down his angels and rain. We knew we would have to face reality one sweet, sweet day and finally you took your last free breath three days before Mother's day, Thursday the 10th of May. We, your devoted family and true friends, are a little sad but happy you are home, free from all the pain. Earnestine Talley Jackson was born in Waco, TX on November 30,1944 to Edna Mae Scott-Talley and Howard Talley. She was once the wife of Emmitt E. Jackson ,who preceded her in death, and to that union was born Vicki R. Jackson; Emmitt E. Jackson Jr., who preceded her in death; Sonia D. Jackson-Blumanhourst; Ritchie Darnell Jackson, who also preceded her in death; and Ms. Monica M. Jackson. She is also proud to be blessed with four of the bravest, strongest grandchildren: Amanda A. Jackson, student at UTSA; Scott A. Blumanhourst Jr.; Khyriq J. Brown; Michael V. Blumanhourst, and DeAndre M. Jackson, who preceded her in death. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Scott Blumanhourst; her "adopted" grandsons and granddaughter: Juan Betancourt, Edgar Acosta, and Bianca Ortiz; El Paso sisters Veronica Kane and Gloria Waller, Anna McClinton. She also leaves to mourn her: her sister, Albert Jean Talley and brother, Jessie Lee Evans, both of Waco, TX; and a host of devoted nephews, nieces, and Cousins; as well as, The Sophisticated Ladies and very SPECIAL friends and co-workers of the Fort Bliss Main Exchange, where she was employed for 5 years: Ann Woods, Georgina, Minerva, Carolyn, Audrey, Mable, Mary, and Cathy; and so very many more who truly care about her and you know who you are, "Thank You For Being a Friend". The family of Ms. Jackson would also like to thank Dr.’s: Inez Sanchez, Jesus Gomez, Teresa Reed, Dale Reynolds and their staff as well as Dr. Seko and the Providence Wound Institute and The Nurse Angels of the Oncology Ward at Sierra Medical Center for their care of our mother during her last few weeks of life.
