Earl Warner Fischer

Earl Warner “Mickey” Fischer, 75, a long time resident of El Paso, Texas passed away on September 26, 2012. He was born April 19, 1937 in Washington, DC to Dorothea Rosa and Earl Frederick Fischer. He was on the El Paso Police Department for 10 years, after which he was a sales man for Wisco, Inc., Frank’s Supply and retired from Alamo Iron Works. He was a past President of the Transmountain Optimist Club, Lt. Governor, and Governor of New Mexico/West Texas District for the Optimist International, as well as Chairman for the Northeaster Parade from 1996 to 2004, and was active in the Northeast Civic Leaders Council. He was also in the National Guard for 8 years, as well as a Boy Scout and instructed bird watching at Philmont Boy Scout Camp, and later was a Scout Master for Troop 209. He also volunteered in many organizations to help others. He is survived by his loving wife Naomi; daughter, Deborah Spatziani; son in law, Albert Spatziani; son Michael Eugene Fisher; sister, Catherine Bartholow; grandsons Robert Weidinger and Michael Neal Jr., as well as several nieces and nephews.
