Duane Malik Haqq

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Duane Malik Haqq, who left this world on May 6, 2023 in El Paso, TX. He was 31 years old.

Duane was born on November 20th, 1991 in Cleveland, OH to Rafeeq Abdul Haqq and Linda Maria Goodrich. He had a younger brother, Tariq Jamal Haqq, who always looked up to him.

Duane's passion for food led him to pursue a career in the restaurant industry. He embodied the role and poured his heart into creating culinary masterpieces that delighted the palates of countless families and friends.

Those close to Duane knew him as a kind and gentle soul who loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed traveling to new places, experiencing new cultures, and had an innate ability to make people feel at ease. His infectious smile and joyous laugh filled any room he entered.

Duane was deeply loved by his family, including his father Rafeeq Abdul Haqq, mother Linda Maria Goodrich, brother Tariq Jamal Haqq, and countless extended family members.

Visitation services will be held on Saturday May 13th from 1:00-4:00pm at Sunset Funeral Homes - Northeast (4631 Hondo Pass El Paso, TX 79904). Please join us in celebrating the life of Duane Malik Haqq.
