Dr. Jeffrey Ray Pinson

Dr. Jeffrey Ray Pinson, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024 after a long battle with illness. Jeffrey was 63 years old when he and Jesus decided to make Heaven his permanent home. He has a brand new body today; one that is no longer plagued by pain or suffering. While he will be desperately missed, his family is grateful for God’s mercy.

Jeff was born to Ray Dean and Frances Anne Pinson on December 17, 1960 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana but was raised most of his life in Houston, Texas where his parents pastored an Assembly of God Church. On March 14, 1987, he was married to the love of his life, Robyn Juanell Caylor, and they brought four amazing children into the world who were the delights of his life.

Jeff was preceded in his homegoing by his father, Rev. Ray D. Pinson, his father-in-love, Jack E. Caylor, and sisters-in-law, Pamela S. Caylor and Billie Caylor. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Robyn Pinson; his four wonderful children; daughter Lauren Healy (husband, Billy), daughter Caitlyn Robertson (husband, Brandon), daughter, Rachel Pinson, and son, Aaron Pinson; granddaughter, Phoebe Anne Healy; mother, Frances Anne Pinson; brother, Keith Pinson (wife, Cheryl); sister, Denise McCurry; brothers-in-law, Mark Caylor (wife, Barbara), David Caylor (wife, Kathy), and Gregory Caylor (wife, Rebecca) as well as many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Now that Jeff has passed into the arms of our Lord, we should remind ourselves that, while this is the end of his physical life on Earth, it is only the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for a man who dearly loved God and often spoke of what Heaven must be like and how he could not wait to get there. Now he is an authority on that subject, too.

Jeff was an avid reader from a young age and read thousands of books in his lifetime. Visitation will be from 9:00am -11:00am with a Funeral Service to begin at 11:00am on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at The Worship Center, 4000 Hercules Dr.
