Douglas Lang was joyously welcomed into the arms of our Lord on April 17, 2009. A gentle man, a loving husband and loyal friend, he was born in International Falls, Minnesota on June 7, 1930 to Mona Kaneen and Howard Lang. Doug greeted the world the way he lived his life, enthusiastically and ready to take on any challenge that came his way. He attended Harvard University, graduated from Oregon State and received his Masters in Corporate Finance from Columbia University. Doug was an active member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. A wonderful story teller, Doug enjoyed sharing his personal and professional life experiences that included serving in the U.S. Air Force, working in the financial services and aviation industries and as a business owner in El Paso. But, his favorite story by far was the day he met and married the love of his life, Cecilia. He often said that was his greatest accomplishment. He loved and adored her until his final breath. A devoted family man, he always enjoyed visiting with his sister, Shirley Hutchison Scott and niece Vannin McNair, both of whom were at his side over the last few weeks. A wonderful husband, son, brother, uncle and friend, he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Doug is survived by his wife, Cecilia Lang, his sister Shirley Hutchison Scott, his niece Vannin and her husband Gary McNair and his nephews Jim and John Hutchinson.
