Dorothy G. Moore

March 22, 1933 — May 10, 2021

MOORE, Dorothy G., age 88, born in Panama and resided in El Paso for over 56 years, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 10, 2021. Mrs. Moore was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother known affectionately to everyone as "Nanny". Mrs. Moore is survived by her wonderful husband of 68 years, one brother, four children, nine grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren as we were truly loved and Blessed. How do we thank our extended family? It is impossible for us to list the number of nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, and beautiful friends who are all considered family. They loved Nanny, and words could never describe their deep relationship with her. When we first arrived in El Paso, we were a family of six; our family has grown more than one could imagine. Everyone needs to know that we love and appreciate all of you and Blessings to everyone. Mrs. Dorothy G. Moore, we love you with all of our hearts and soul to the moon and back. Mrs. Moore gave her life to the Lord at a very young age. Dorothy became a member of Chapel 4, now known as the Gospel Service on Biggs Field and served as a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and the Ladies Choir. Mrs. Moore volunteered and donated her time and heart for many years. Mrs. Dorothy G. Moore graduated from The University of Texas at El Paso. As a Bilingual elementary teacher in EPISD, Mrs. Moore initially engaged her students at a very young age. Many students and parents appreciated her dedication to them throughout the years as she always stayed in touch as they left her classroom. Her philosophy focused on helping others with the attitude of "Pay it Forward." Mrs. Moore helped others with an open mind and heart. FAVORITE BIBLE VERSE: Psalm 23 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. Prayer: I said a prayer for you today and know God must have heard-I felt the answer in my heart. Although He spoke no word. I didn't ask for wealth or fame: I knew you wouldn't mind. I asked Him to send treasures of a far more lasting kind. I asked that He'd be near you at the start of each new day. To grant you health and blessings and friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.
