Dorothy Estelle Woodley Hunt February 3, 1920 – January 11, 2012 Dorothy Estelle Woodley Hunt passed away peacefully at home on Friday January 11, 2013. Her death came just a few weeks shy of her 93rd birthday. Born in El Paso to John and Minnie Woodley on February 3, 1920, she was a life- long resident of El Paso and known to her many friends and acquaintances as “Dot”. After graduating from Austin High School, Dot attended the Texas College of Mines where she earned a degree in Business in 1941. She spent her lifetime supporting her husband of 63 years, Jack L. Hunt, and the business he founded with his father and brother. That company has evolved into the Hunt Companies, and today it is still headquartered in El Paso and continues to be owned and managed by the Hunt family. In addition to being a loving wife and raising three children, Dot was involved in many El Paso civic and charitable causes. She was active in the El Paso Symphony, the El Paso Museum of Art, and the El Paso Historical society. Dot and Jack established the Jack and Dorothy Hunt Endowment for Entrepreneurship at UTEP. She was the recipient of the UTEP Gold Nugget Award, given by the University to exceptional graduates who have made significant impacts in their communities and who reflect the quality of their alma mater. Later in her life, Dot and Jack enjoyed traveling and had many wonderful adventures after Jack's retirement in 1977. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack, and her grandson Marcus J. Hunt. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Woody and Gayle Hunt and Mike and Norma Hunt of El Paso, and Camille Hunt Robison and Kenneth Robison of Pineville, LA. Dot was blessed with ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Memorial donations can be made to the Jack and Dorothy Hunt Endowment for Entrepreneurship at UTEP, the YWCA of El Paso Dorothy Woodley Hunt Lower Valley Branch, CHOICE Hospice of Texas, or a favorite charity. There will be a private celebration of life. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home, West
