Dorothy S. Hilbert

Dorothy S. Hilbert passed away January 27, 2010 at home. She was 82 and survived by her husband Bill, daughter Deborah of El Paso, brother Joseph Sterling of Chicago, Il., niece Carolyn Johnson of Los Gatos, Ca., grandniece Heather Harper also of Los Gatos. Ca., granddaughter Angela Hilbert of Hasting, Mi., great grand nephew William Hilbert also of Hastings, Mi., and nephew William Egan of Framingham, Ma. She was preceded in death by her daughter Linda Marie Hilbert. Dorothy and Bill were a few hours short of celebrating their 54th wedding anniversary. Dorothy was the most loving Wife and Mother there was ever. Her family was her whole life. She enjoyed crosswords puzzles and talking to her many friends. She worked for Southern Pacific Railroad for 11 years. She was member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority for over 50 years. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels and Volunteer For Vision for many years. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes East, 750 N. Carolina with visitation on Monday, February 1, 2010 from 4- 9 pm with a Vigil at 7:00 pm, Funeral Mass at 12:30 pm at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar Dr., Tuesday, February 3, and burial at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery at 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 3, 2010.
