Dorothy Lee Gregory

Dorothy (Lee) Gregory was born on March 10, 1921 in Orange, Texas to Leola Johnson. She passed away on November 6, 2007 at the age of 86. She was raised in Orange, Texas where she met and married her life-long partner, Rev. Henry A. Gregory in June, 1948 in San Antonio, Texas. Dorothy accompanied her husband, a member of the U.S. Air Force, around the world. They made their final home in El Paso in 1966. Mrs. Gregory was a Civil Service employee with the Office of Accounting for the U.S. Army. She was a faithful servant of God volunteering her time and talents in various church organizations. She was a member of St. James Myrtle and Glen Arbor Methodist churches. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, mother, and brother, Emmanuel Johnson. She was a devoted mother survived by her three children Margaret Green, Evelyn Aigbedion (Mack), and David Gregory (Rhonda); grandchildren Phyllis Thibodeaux, Penny Green, Odaro, Amara, and Marcel Aigbedion, Caitlin and Matthew Gregory; six great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 12, 2007 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home, Northeast. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at Tobin Park United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
